Mount Aspiring National Park

The 3,550km² Mount Aspiring National Park on the South Island of New Zealand was established in 1964 and is characterized by an alpine landscape.

Mount Aspiring National ParkTogether with the Westland, Mount Cook and the Fiordland National Park, the Mount Aspiring National Park is within the so-called Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area. The namesake of the park is Mount Aspiring (3,033m). Since 1990, the area has belonged to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
