Mount Aspiring new zealand

Mount Aspiring is a mountain in the Southern Alps on South Island of New Zealand. With a height of 3033 meters, it represents the highest elevation on the undisputed territory outside of New Zealand Aoraki Mount Aspiring new zealandMassif dar. The Mount Aspiring Maori name means “Glistening Summit”. On the mountain, climbing can be undertaken, and in winter it provides excellent conditions for winter sports.

The starting point for any action in relation to the hill is the nearby town of Wanaka. Since 1964, the entire area through the Mount Aspiring National Park is protected, which occupies an area of 3555 kilometers ² and is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. The Mount Aspiring Mount attracts numerous visitors every year. In addition, the mountain was used for a scene for the filming of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by Peter Jackson.
