Conveniently situated at an hour’s drive to the north of Auckland it lies just on the border of ‘Matakana Wine Country’, offering the joys of wine tasting, within its 15 vineyards, and gourmet cuisine proposed in the various restaurants and cafés throughout the area.

The Omaha beach area offers something for everyone, with a variety of activities and attractions as well as natural sites, such as the nearby Goat Island Marine Reserve, ARC Tawharanui Regional Park and Pakiri beach.

The beach is undoubtedly a favourite location and also a safe place in which to enjoy all sorts of water activities due to its sheltered position. Inland you may follow the countless footpaths that meander through the lush vegetation, either on horseback or on foot. You may also try out the championship 18-hole golf course, bowling greens and other terrain activities.
